Two Point Campus Delayed to August 2022

SEGA has announced that they have decided to postpone the release of their Two Point Hospital sequel, Two Point Campus. The game will move its initial May 17th release to the new date of August 9th for all platforms in Western territories. With the Two Point Campus delayed, its release in Asian regions sees it moved from its May 18th release to August 10th.

You can still pre-order the game right now, despite the nearly 3-month delay.

    Two Point Campus Delayed

The reason why Two Point Campus was delayed was to give the developers time to polish and optimize the game for all platforms. The developers want to release the game to the quality and standard the community has expected of them, this is what they wanted to do from the start of development.

“Our ambition from the start has been to release Two Point Campus across all PC and console platforms simultaneously to the quality and standard that our community expects from us. This means we will need a little bit more time with Two Point Campus to make sure we deliver the best possible game that can be enjoyed equally on all platforms”, said Mark Webley, Game Director at Two Point Studios. “We will use these additional three months to optimize Two Point Campus for all platforms”.

This outcome couldn’t be any more different from when the company released Two Point Hospital. Hospital’s initially released on PC on August 30th, 2018. Nearly a year and a half later, the game would release on major console platforms on February 25th, 2020. The very fact that Two Point Campus, despite the delay, is going to release at the same time on all platforms just goes to show how much Two Point Studios has grown as a developer.

    Two Point Campus Delayed

From our hands-on preview impressions of the current build, the game looks and feels as though it is nearly complete. Though that’s only from the impression we got from the first two levels of the game. It can be noted that building placement may need some tweaking but the developers are fully aware of this and are continuously working towards bettering the game.

Two Point Campus will now release on August 9th for Western regions and August 10th for Asian regions for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). The game will also release on Xbox Game Pass.
