Fatshark has recently announced that the co-op grim dark shooter Warhammer 40K: Darktide will finally be available on Xbox Series X/S later this year.
PC Gamer reported that it has been revealed that the Xbox console release will be significantly different from the heavily criticized PC launch version of the game. It will benefit from a fleshed-out skill tree along with various improvements.
The game was criticized by fans after its November 30, 2022 launch. Many complained about its shooter’s unstable framerates and incomplete gameplay mechanics. Fatshark CEO and Co-Founder Martin Wahlund had to publish an open letter to fans to apologize for its state. He then revealed that the planned Xbox Series X/S launch would be delayed indefinitely while the company worked to address issues highlighted by the community. This has now changed with the recent announcement.
The developers have now made fixes for the performance issues that plagued the game at launch. It has also allowed for the implementation of a completed crafting system. It will also have a more rewarding progression loop.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide finally launches on Xbox Series X/S on October 4, 2023.
