In the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores quest, The Stars In Their Eyes, you’re asked to find Words of Attainment. While other quests usually give you a waypoint for where to look for the objective, in this one in particular, you’re only given a general location of where these could be, making it confusing for some players.
Read ahead, and we’ll show you where and how to find Words of Attainment for The Stars In Their Eyes quest for the Burning Shores DLC in Horizon Forbidden West.
How do you find Words of Attainment in Burning Shores?
You can get Words of Attainment by talking to specific people or looking for Quen Devotee’s Journals. They aren’t items you can collect per se, rather they’re words you can learn that lets Aloy pass Brenik and enter the Ascension Hall.
Here are the only ways you can learn Words of Attainment:
Talk to Kiral
Watching the hologram displays will give you key information as to what to reply to Kiral when you talk to her. She’s standing over by the huge screen on the corner to the right side. To get the Words of Attainment from Kiral, you have to pick the following dialogue options:
- “Attainment?”
- then follow it up with “A new world.”
After picking the right options, Kiral will then give you the Words of Attainment. “Only through devotion may I embrace his light. Only through him may I ascend to a new world.”
Talk to Otosu
Another way to get the Words of Attainment is to head downstairs and talk to Otosu. Be extra sure to pick the dialogue options correctly because he will not give them to you if you mess up. Like before, pick the following dialogue options:
- “Attainment?”
- then follow it up with “They were dedicated.”
He’ll tell you the same password that Kiral gave you so you don’t have to talk to both of them if you get one from the other already. Just ensure that you pick the correct dialogue options because they won’t want to share the password with you if you mess up.
Examine the Quen Devotee’s Journal
If you couldn’t get the Words of Attainment from either Kiral or Otosu, you can still get it by finding the Quen Devotee’s Journal. Beside the staircase near Otosu there’s a path past the crates that will get you to a small room. There’s a journal inside you can get that’s on the ground.
Examine the journal and press triangle to read its contents. This will get you the words of attainment needed to get past Brenik and enter the Ascension Hall.
