Blizzard has now officially revealed the World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight and it will add a lot of new content for the game.
The latest expansion is called Dragonflight and its main theme is about taking to the skies and flight. This was recently announced during a livestream that showed the expansion preview and the announcement of WoW Classic Wrath of the Lich King.
World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight Cinematic Trailer
The new cinematic trailer showed a brief history of Azeroth before revealing the dragons that will return to the present day and will help in the fight against an enemy from the past. It shows how a lone surviving Watcher reignites the beacon and brings the dragons back again to protect Azeroth. The clip is quite dramatic showing how the rest of the Watchers crumbled after 10,000 years have passed.
In Dragonflight, players will be called upon the Aspects to ask for their help in restoring their powers and to stop a new evil. They will have to travel to Dragon Isles, which has five different zones to explore. They can explore Dragon Isles on foot, but there is a new feature that will be added with World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight called Dragonriding.
World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight New Race Dracthyr
A new race called the Dracthyr will be introduced in World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight. These are shapeshifting dragons that have humanoid and draconic forms. This is the only race that can choose as the Evoker class, another exclusive content in the new expansion.
There are two specializations to choose from the Evoker class, which are the new ranged damage-dealing spec Devastation and the healer spec Preservation. Dracthyr can either go to the Alliance or the Horde and will have their own special starting area.
New Updates Included in Expansion
World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight will feature new updates to the game like the professions getting upgrades called work orders. This will allow players to recruit other players easily in order to make items. There is also a new profession equipment, and a new specialization system. The basic user interface is getting an upgrade too.
New Talent Tree to Explore
There will be new talent trees to check out with the upcoming expansion. It will be similar to the old versions with tons of options and combinations to choose from.
World of Warcraft Expansion Dragonflight just got announced but there are no details yet on the release date. An alpha might be coming soon though.
