Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and president Jim Ryan has revealed that the gaming company is no longer interested in making handhelds.

Many fans are still holding out for hope that the gaming company will make another successful handheld console like the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable. To their dismay, the CEO has revealed that the company has counted itself out of that part of the business. What is unknown is if this is a permanent action or just a short-term decision.
Ryan told in an interview that the PS Vita was a brilliant product that they manufactured. He admitted that the actual gaming experience was great too. He then clarified that it is a business that they are no longer in now.
