A recent datamine of video game The Division 2 has revealed that an old fan favorite mode of the game will be coming back soon.
The Division 2 datamine reveals Underground Survival
Ubisoft recently re-opened the game’s PTS to get player feedback. They wanted to know what they thought about the changes that will be coming to the live game in the near future. Turns out there were some of them that were digging up some information of the future content.
A redditor revealed that he datamined several audio files that could reveal new information that will be coming to the game in the future. The files highly suggest that the company will be introducing multiple seasons in the future. The files contained audio logs and radio/phone conversations.
One of those audio logs mentioned about Kelso that is talking about a skyscraper with its floors needed to be secured individually. There is also dialogue talking about a saferoom, which could mean a checkpoint. This hinted the fans that it could be some potential repeatable, horde-style mechanic for the game. It could mean a similar mechanic like what the original had called Underground Survival.
For now these are all not confirmed by Ubisoft. Take this with a grain of salt.
The game is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
