If you’ve been waiting for Abe to make a comeback, well, he did with the release of Oddworld: Soulstorm today on PC, PS4, and as a free game on PS5 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. But that doesn’t mean the game isn’t “bugless”.
Just yesterday, the press was given review copies of Soulstorm with a note that ‘Abe gets stuck in an infinite falling loop’, hindering players from progressing through the game as reported by Eurogamer. The bug happens when jumping, falling, or ‘when death is interrupted over a single frame by another state’.
According to the note stated by the developers, they advised players to at least reset to the last checkpoint to fix the issue. Another issue is tied specifically to PS4 and PS4 Pro players that boots them out of the game, then back to the PlayStation home screen. Nevertheless, these issues are already being addressed through an upcoming patch, and the developers assure that the save data are safe.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is already available on PC, PS4, and currently part of PS Plus’ free games for the month of April.
