Doom Eternal Invasion Mode Changed to Horde Mode

Game studio id Software has recently posted an announcement about the planned mode that they were to introduce in video game Doom Eternal.

There was supposed to be an Invasion Mode that will be introduced to the game as free content, but they had to cancel that due to the global pandemic. Remote working made it difficult for the team to complete the development. They are now going to offer the Horde Mode instead.

The Ancient Gods expansions and master levels offered a lot of interesting gameplay and combat and id Software so that fans loved them. This is the reason for them to offer Horde Mode instead. This will be new single-player experience that will offer more diversity and challenge for players to enjoy.

Battlemode is currently being worked on, which will have more competitive, rank-based structure with several new gameplay and balance updates, and a new map.

More details about these new updates will be revealed during the upcoming QuakeCon event in August 2021.

Doom Eternal is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game recently got update 6 which improved the next-gen experience.
