A new report has revealed the Elden Ring is now the best-selling game of June 2022 in the US and also at a certain part of this year.
Before, a report claimed that Elden Ring had become one of the top 10 best-selling premium games in US history. Later, this was debunked by the same group, the NPD Group, saying that the report was based on an incomplete data set. Since it was incomplete, they did have enough information to conclude that it was indeed among the best-selling games so they had to retract the statement.
The group did confirm that Elden Ring is now the best-selling game for the month of June 2022. Due to its popularity in various regions, it is no wonder that it got that praise from the group. It is also the best-selling game for fou8r of its first five months on the market, which is high praise.
Aside from Elden Ring, NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella revealed that the PS5 has generated the highest dollar sales amongst video game hardware platforms in both June and the first half of the calender 2022.
There have been claims as well that Elden Ring will be getting a brand-new expansion soon.
Elden Ring is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
