The newest Soul Hackers 2 trailer gives players a crash course on battle mechanics and how to prepare the team for combat.

Ringo and Figue, agents of the digital hivemind Aion, create a team in order to investigate and prevent a butterfly effect that will lead to the end of the world. In order to achieve that, they will need the power of Demons, powerful otherworldly entities that can give them powers in battle.

Soul Hackers 2 Trailer Explain Essential Gameplay Features

The newest trailer, Devil Summoning and Combat, explains two essential parts of gameplay. According to the trailer, Devil Summoners are humans who have forged a contract with Demons. In turn, they can be summoned and give the summoners powers that could combat enemies via their COMP systems. These are special gadgets that assist the summoners in summoning the demons in battle.

Demon Advantage

Demons can be assigned to each of Ring’s teammates and then they could gain access to those Demon’s abilities. Players will need to identify and exploit enemy weaknesses to gain stacks in battle. At the end of the party’s turn, Ringo will use those stacks to conduct a Sabbath, which is a brutal attack that affects all enemies on the field.

Commander Skills

Ringo’s connections with her allies must improve further as it affects combat too. If she gains enough connection points, she will gain access to Commander Skills that can be used in battle. These are powers of Aion that will not take up a turn. There are also helpful Passive Commander Skills that can save her teammates when needed or boost up their stats in battle.

To unlock such powerful Commander Skills, players will need to collect and use special items. It is best to upgrade these skills whenever the materials are available.

Mystique Boost

Demons gain experience in battle and if they reach their full level, they will give Ringo a mystique that can be equipped. They can boost stats, element affinities, and more.
