Bandai Namco Entertainment has now confirmed the rumors with the new Elden Ring Free Colosseum Update Trailer.
Elden Ring Free Colosseum Update Release Date
The prophecies were true! After so much speculation and rumors from the interwebs, FromSoftware finally put them to rest with the newest trailer. It has been confirmed that Elden Ring will be getting a new free Colosseum Update that will be available on consoles and PC. And fans will not need to wait longer as it will be released tomorrow, December 7, 2022.
“Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum,” says the trailer description on YouTube. “The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights. Prove your worth in the free Colosseum Update.”
Prophecies Do Come True
Just as predicted by many modders out there who have visited such colosseums all over The Lands Between, these colosseums will offer players new ways to enjoy PvP gameplay. No official details have been shared yet, but based on the trailer, the new update might offer players Team Battles, new rulings on one-on-one PvP bouts, and more. The trailer shows how players could fight in the colosseum and it seems there are some special rules to be implemented when one enters it. There could be rewards to be won too, but the clip does not show it.
