Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has reportedly said something rather interesting about his stance on the Xbox x Activision Blizzard deal.
The Sony versus Microsoft battle continues with more controversial statements coming from important people from either side. The cause? As usual, the big Activision Blizzard deal where Microsoft is already getting close to securing the deal while Sony seems to be resisting with all its might. Recently, CEO Jim Ryan has shared his stance in regard to the deal and what he only wants to do.
Activision Chief Communication Officer Lulu Cheng Meservey recently posted on her personal Twitter account about Activision and Microsoft’s offers to Sony for long-term access to Call of Duty. Interestingly, Sony still keeps refusing the offers. Why? It seems Jim Ryan has that answer and it is rather quite blunt.
According to Cheng Meservey, to quote Ryan’s exact words: “I don’t want a new Call of Duty deal. I just want to block your merger.”
While Activision and Microsoft are giving peace offerings, it seems Sony and Jim Ryan are not interested in any of that. They want this merger to be stopped, at all costs.
The Microsoft x Activision Blizzard merger still has an unclear ending it seems.
