Meet Your Maker Crossplay and Cross-platform Explained

With the ability to build your own bases, Meet Your Maker Crossplay and cross-platform integration seem like the one feature that will unite all players on different platforms. Being able to access a base someone built on PC and play it on the consoles removes the creative barrier to playing community-made maps. Read ahead as we walk you through how you can use crossplay and cross-platform in Meet Your Maker.

Does Meet Your Maker Have Crossplay and Cross-platform?

Meet Your Maker allows you to access cross-platform content and raid bases from other platforms. However, it will not feature crossplay nor cross-platform progression at launch.

What this means is that you can access player-built bases even if they’re not on your platform. Go ahead and play Xbox-made player bases from your PC. However, you cannot team up with other players unless they’re on the same platform as you. You will not be able to take your progress to different platforms.

It’s important to note that Behavior Interactive specifically said “at launch” when answering about the Meet Your Maker Crossplay and cross-platform features on their official FAQ. We could possibly see it added in a future update sometime soon. Although we can’t guarantee that the developers will be working towards it, it would be the next step in uniting their playerbase.

How Meet Your Maker Crossplay and Co-op Works

The Meet Your Maker co-op lets players team up with a friend and raid player-built bases as a team of two. However, since crossplay is restricted at the time of this writing, you won’t be able to play with your friend if they’re on another platform. This is something to consider before buying the game if you’re planning on playing with a friend.

Since Meet Your Maker will allow you to access cross-platform content, you can also build your own base and let other players try it out without restrictions. It can be fun to build your very own dungeon filled with death traps and monsters to see how other people from around the world fare against it.
