CAPCOM has recently concluded the Street Fighter 6 Showcase revealing much new content including DLC characters and the demo launch.

The Street Fighter 6 Showcase was recently hosted by rapper Lil Wayne and revealed some new details about the upcoming game, including World Tour, customized avatar battles, accessibility features, the Year 1 roadmap, and the demo that launches today on PS4 and PS5. The Xbox and Steam versions will be released on April 26, 2023.

Street Fighter 6 Showcase Details World Tour

Players with their customized characters will be set up in the developing nation called Nayshall. They can meet with iconic Masters there and experience the world of Street Fighter in the streets of Metro City and other locations around the world in the new single-player mode.

Just like an RPG, players can consume items and food during battle or at eateries to recover Vitality, acquire buffs, or inflict debuffs. Leveling up the avatar will earn Skill Points to spend on a Skill Tree to further customize the move set.

Create a unique character in World Tour and then head into Battle Hub to join custom Avatar Battles against other players online.

    Accessibility Innovations

There are new innovations in accessibility for Street Fighter 6. It will support innovative sound design, Tutorials, Character Guides, Combo Trials, and the new Control Type controller mapping.

Classic Fighting Experience with Some Spice Added In

Arcade Mode is a single-player mode where players will be facing against the computer and learning more about each fighter’s story. Complete it with each character to unlock and view illustrations in the Gallery. Play against other players or the computer by creating a team of up to five characters and customize the Match Format as Single Elimination, Doubles, and Teams.

Extreme Battle introduces rulesets that must be followed with fun features like Running Bulls, and more. Play online against other players by creating a Custom Room. There will be four virtual cabinets in them that can be set to One on One, Extreme Battle, or Training. It can hold up to 16 players at a time.

    Compete Against the World

Ranked Matches makes a return and there are some changes. There is now a one-time Rank-Down protection feature for those in Diamond rank and below. Rookies will no longer lose League Points upon defeat to encourage online play. Iron-Gold and Master rank players will not incur League demotions. Each character has their own individual Rank.

    Battle Damage Introduced

The Battle Damage Feature has been introduced in Street Fighter 6. During fights, characters will get sweatier, develop cuts and bruises, and other signs of heated battle appear on their faces and clothing. It will be available only in certain offline modes and can be turned off in Settings.

    DLC Characters Revealed

Four new characters will be joining the roster at a later time. Rashid of the Turbulent Wind will be returning in Summer 2023. A.K.I. will be joining in Autumn 2023.
