Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently announced that the PlayStation VR2 headset will be available in local retail stores soon.
Before, the PS VR2 was only available on the Sony PlayStation Direct site and was priced at $549.99. It seems the former has been changed now as PlayStation stated on its Twitter account, “Check your local retailer for availability.”
Sony did not reveal which retail shops will be offering the VR units yet, but it could be announced at a later time. Currently, it is only known that UK retailer ShopTo will be having stock of the PS VR2 starting on May 12, 2023.
The PS VR2 launched a few months ago, on February 22, 2023 and was exclusive to the PS5 only. This is the upgrade of the original VR headset with brand-new controllers that offer haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, and more.
