Destiny 2: Efficient Angler Seasonal Challenge Bug Fix

Some players are facing a bug that prevents them from progressing in Destiny 2’s Season of The Deep Efficient Angler Seasonal Challenge, where they have been catching fish at a full meter but are not tracking properly. The time spent fishing in the game may have been for naught, and this could be quite frustrating.

Use this guide as such while we outline the possible workaround fix for the Efficient Angler Bug and complete the Seasonal Challenge in Destiny 2.

How to fix the Efficient Angler Bug in Destiny 2?

To fix and complete the Destiny 2 Efficient Angler Seasonal Challenge, make sure that your focused fishing meter is at full, wait for a fishing pond public event to spawn, and then fish at the next fishing pond in the instance.

How to fix the Efficient Angler Bug in Destiny 2

To increase your focused fishing meter, you must catch a legendary rarity fish or greater, and you’ll need to reel in about a dozen of them to reach the full meter. Everyone at the pond can help fill this meter to capacity since it’s shared across the entire instance. The meter is divided into sections, and as you progress through them, the number of fish in the pond will rise. The higher the meter, the greater the chances of getting better rarities of fish. The higher the meter, the more likely it is that you will catch exotic or rare fish.

Keep in mind that the public fishing pond event will end once a regular public event begins, and whatever progress you made toward filling the focused fishing meter will be lost. For this reason, it’s best to hold off until regular public events are over. As soon as that’s done and the pond is open again, rush there with your fireteam and try to catch as many fish as you can in as little time as possible.

That’s the Destiny 2 Efficient Angler Seasonal Challenge Bug Fix. While we expect the developers to look into this as quickly as they can (as they usually do), there is currently no official hotfix available since the update is quite fresh. We also have a full Destiny 2 fishing guide if you need help completing other fishing activities. Seasonal challenges in Season of the Deep won’t be around indefinitely, so it’s best to complete them as soon as you can.
