Naughty Dog has confirmed in a new Twitter post on its official account that The Last of Us multiplayer game has now been delayed indefinitely. The studio did not provide a specific release window. It was revealed that as development continued, they realized what is best for the game and they chose to give it more time.
Before this announcement, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier revealed that the studio has significantly scaled down the team behind the multiplayer project. This could be the other cause that it has now been delayed and without any clue of its release window.
The good news is that Naughty Dog has also confirmed that it is currently working on other games which included a brand-new single-player experience. They promised to share more details soon.
