Remedy has recently announced that Alan Wake 2 delayed to late October 2023.
Alan Wake 2 Delayed Slightly
It has been confirmed that Remedy has delayed the release date of the upcoming video game Alan Wake 2. Instead of launching it on October 17, 2023, it will now be released on October 27, 2023. It has been delayed by 10 days, which is not that bad actually.
“October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games,” Remedy said. “We can’t wait to show you what everyone’s favorite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week. Thanks for your patience!”
No Explanation for Delay
Remedy Entertainment has not explained the reason for the slight delay, but it could be for polishing the game further. The team behind the development might have found some issues and needed enough time to remove them before the official launch.
Other fans speculate that this is to avoid getting overlapped in sales since it originally would have launched before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of the most anticipated titles this year. Since it would launch afterward, it can at least gain more sales by not getting buried by Spider-Man 2’s launch. The gap between releases are still close though, so it could still be affected.
