Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios took the chance to announce some juicy details of their upcoming racing simulator, Forza Motorsport, at gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany.
Chris Esaki, the Creative Director of Forza Motorsport at Turn 10 Studios, unveiled that the world-famous Nürburgring GP circuit will be available in the game when it comes out on October 10, 2023. Esaki also shared that the iconic 12.9-mile Nordschleife is coming to the game in Spring 2024.
Today, PC players can pre-order Forza Motorsport on Steam and play up to 5 days early by pre-purchasing the Premium Edition. Cross-play will be available between platforms, even cross-save. So if you plan to play the game on Steam, Microsoft’s PC Game Pass, or Xbox Series X|S, you can bring your progress to any platform without buying another game.
Esaki also mentioned in a blog post that they’ve “optimized Forza Motorsport to look and play great across a wide range of PCs, taking advantage of cutting-edge PC hardware and technologies with real-time ray tracing on-track and maximum performance enabled by NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.2. We will continue to optimize and improve Forza Motorsport on PC after launch.”
According to the game’s official Steam page, Forza Motorsport will require an Intel Core i5-8400, 8GB RAM, an Nvidia GTX 1060 or an AMD equivalent GPU, and around 130GB of disk space to run the game.
Forza Motorsport will launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S on October 10, 2023, and the game will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
