Lenovo Legion Go has been announced at IFA 2023 and will be launching later this year.

Lenovo Legion Go Combines Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch

After it was rumored multiple times, Lenovo finally announced its new hardware at IFA 2023, the Legion Go. It is a new handheld device that combines the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck in one.

    TrueStrike Controller

The Lenovo Legion Go has a unique feature that any other portable gaming PC device does not have: the gamepad is detachable called the Legion TrueStrike. It has its own kickstand on the rear of the device for easy gaming. The Legion TrueStrike has a D-Pad, a mouse wheel, ten programmable shoulder buttons, triggers, and grip buttons with two thumbsticks on each controller. Lenovo also confirmed the Legion TrueStrike uses Hall Effect joysticks, which reduces chances of getting drifting issues.

    Legion Go Features

The Legion Go has an 8.8-inch QHD+ IPS display with touchscreen support with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also features M.2 SSD storage with three configurations of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Lenovo has confirmed that there is a MicroSD slot on the device, which will allow owners to add up to 2TB of additional storage. It has the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU and RDNA graphics with Windows 11 preinstalled as the device’s operating system.

    FPS Mode

The new portable PC gaming device has a special feature that no other has yet. It is an FPS mode which allows owners to detach the controllers from the screen and use the kickstand on the back. The right TrueStrike controller will then be placed in a magnetic base with an optical eye on the bottom right of the controller, which promises to deliver more precise aiming and control.

    Launch Window and Price

Lenovo Legion Go launches later in October 2023 and costs $699.
