Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XVI DLC expansions plus PC Port has been confirmed.
Final Fantasy XVI DLC Expansions and PC Port Confirmed
Producer Naoki Yoshida has officially confirmed that Final Fantasy XVI will have two paid DLC expansions in the near future. He also revealed that the PC port is in development which started a few days ago. More details will be revealed at a later date this year.
“As I mentioned earlier, we’ve seen many opinions and reactions from our community of Final Fantasy XVI players,” said Game Producer Naoki Yoshida. “But one thing that came through particularly strongly was how people wanted to see more of Valisthea’s story and spend more time with her inhabitants.”
“Finally, while Final Fantasy XVI was released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, we are aware that many of you have been asking for a PC version,” Yoshida said. “So, allow me to take this opportunity to officially announce that development on a PC version is currently underway.
“I hope to be able to give you more information on both the upcoming DLC and the PC version before the end of the year, so please stay tuned.”
Free Update Includes Costumes
Aside from that, there is a new free update for the game that will feature alternate costumes for various characters. It has a new Onion Sword weapon for Clive to use and the ability to change the appearance of the weapons while keeping the stats of the equipped one is also available.
These two new expansions were only possible due to the reactions of the fans of the game. With the PC version now in the works, Xbox fans are now hopeful if the game will finally come to their side in the future.
Final Fantasy XVI is out now on PS5.
