Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Needed $300m To Put On Xbox Game Pass Leaks Reveal

Leaks revealed that Microsoft needed a lot of money to pay EA in order to put Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on Xbox Game Pass.

The recently leaked documents used for the Microsoft versus FTC trial revealed tons of interesting new information about the company’s plans and one of those is a list of potential third-party games to add on Xbox Game Pass. One of those was the highly controversial and anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 next-gen version, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The list revealed that Microsoft estimated it would take about $300 million in order to get the game on Game Pass. The amount was based on its likelihood to be accepted for the subscription service, its wow factor, and the “expected partner ask” in USD.

According to Microsoft’s list, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor had a low rating for the likelihood of being accepted, but had a very high wow factor. This possibly made them expect to pay a lot to get the attention of EA and convince them to put their upcoming title on Game Pass. Other titles like Mortal Kombat 1 or Suicide Squad are expected to be paid $250 million, which made the Star Wars title the highest of them all.

While Star Wars Jedi: Survivor had tons of issues on PC but little on Game Pass, it had good reviews and feedback from critics and reviews when it came out so it is no question that it was expected to get paid $300 million.
