FromSoftware has recently announced that Sekiro Shadows Die Twice has now achieved a new milestone in 2023.
According to a new post on the official Twitter account, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice has officially sold 10 million copies globally. It has been over four years since the ninja plus yokai-themed video game launched in March 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via publisher Activision. It did come out on Google Stadia a year later in October 2020.
Within 10 days of its launch, Sekiro sold over two million copies and then in July 2020, it sold five million copies. In three years since 2020, the figure has now doubled.
Since this new sales milestone has been announced, numerous fans are now hoping for a sequel for the game. Since FromSoftware has never released any DLC expansion for Sekiro, Sekiro 2 could be in the works. Possibly after releasing Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC expansion.
Our resident reviewer scored the game a perfect 10. “Sekiro is set in a beautiful world full of hidden terrors and danger. It’s like a balance between peace and war, harmony and disruption. The perfect backdrop for such an intense and unforgiving game. Sekiro has other features and functions that are best left for you to discover.”
