Valve has recently dropped a new statement to warn Counter-Strike 2 cheaters and their associates that they will all be punished.
After Counter-Strike 2 was released on Steam yesterday, a lot of fans were quick to download and play the game. Unfortunately, numerous reports of cheaters were quick to flood in the forums and social media. In response, Valve released a stark warning to those cheaters together with the release notes for the game.
“When one or more party members get convicted of cheating and permanently banned, all their associates will be penalized with loss of Profile Rank and CS Rating,” Valve said. “In Premier, players with a very high established CS Rating are not allowed to party with accounts that do not have an established CS Rating,”
Valve also revealed that it has another anti-cheating tactic that targets Counter-Strike 2’s hardcore competitive mode.
It has been the norm in Counter-Strike Global Strike that cheaters are everywhere and Valve has been constantly battling them ever since. Of course, these cheaters will appear in the upgraded version and this time, Valve wants to lay down the law early before these cheaters could do further damage.
