CD Projekt RED has recently confirmed that there will be a Cyberpunk 2077 complete edition in the future.
During the investor Q&A session held recently, CDPR was asked about plans for a GOTY or Game of the Year edition for Cyberpunk 2077. This would also be the “complete edition” that The Witcher 3 also got after all expansions, major updates, and DLCs were released.
“In terms of a new edition, collector’s edition, we don’t know the name yet, but when the time comes, we’ll let you know,” claimed CD Projekt’s chief commercial officer Michał Nowakowski.
Nowakowski did not that in terms of a special edition, players should not necessarily expect CDPR to follow the same method they did with The Witcher 3. There would be some differences.
“Well, with Witcher 3, it took some time to do it, but we don’t want to compare it because perhaps we will adopt a new approach, a different approach than with The Witcher,” Nowakowski said.
“You don’t have to compare it to the Witcher until we release a full edition. We do have some intentions, but it’s not yet time to discuss them.”
Previously, there were reports revealing a Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition that got rated by the European classification board PEGI. A release date was set, but this was clearly a placeholder as it wrote December 31, 2023.
CDPR has not revealed what the special edition of Cyberpunk 2077 will be called later.
