Traversal in LEGO Fortnite is one of the biggest challenges, but you can cut through much of that by using the Grappler. Think of it like your very own grappling hook that you can use to zip around the area. You’ll be able to reach high places without needing to build stairs or use balloons.
Crafting a Grappler isn’t easy, though, as the game doesn’t quite teach you how to do so. Before you can make a Grappler, there are a few prerequisites you need to fulfill, but don’t fret. This guide will teach you how to get your very own Grappler in LEGO Fortnite.
How to get a Grappler in LEGO Fortnite
To get a Grappler in LEGO Fortnite, you have to craft it using a Rare-tier Crafting Bench, and you’ll need the following materials to do so:
- x3 Blaster Powder
- x3 Copper Bars
- x10 Cord
Getting these materials can take a bit of work, as they’re scattered all over the place. Blast Powder can be obtained as drops from defeating Skeleton Pirates in the Shores biome. They aren’t too hard to beat, but you should come prepared, as they do come in groups.
Cord is the easiest to get, as you just need to get x5 Vines for each, which is already possible early game in the Grasslands. Just hit a bush with your fists or harvest pumpkin patches, and they’ll drop Vines which you can take to a Loom to craft a Cord with. You’ll need 10 Cord to make a Grappler, so that would be 50 Vines in total.
Copper Bars are the most challenging since they need both Copper and Brightstone, which can only be mined from deposits inside the desert caves of the Dry Valley biome. Afterwards, you’ll need to put them in a Metal Smelter to make Copper Bars. In total, you’re going to need 3 Copper and 6 Brightstone to make 3 Copper Bars for the Grappler.
Once you have the required crafting materials, all you need to do is get the Rare-tier Crafting Bench. You’re going to need x12 Knotroot Rod, x15 Marble Slab, x6 Sand Claw, and x3 Sand Shell.
