How to unlock the Moon Gatherer side quest
The Moon Gatherer side quest can be started by heading to the Sacred Archives and looking for crescent moon symbol
Head into the connecting room where the Moon Gatherer is hiding. Talk to him to start the quest and receive the Dragon King Amulet.
The Moon Gatherer side quest is a quest chain where you will have to find and meet the Moon Gatherer in certain areas of Mount Qaf in a specific order.
Moon Gatherer Location #2
Shortly after obtaining the Shadow of the Simurgh in Chapter 4, make your way to the elevator shaft and leave a shadow by the elevator lever. Call the elevator and ride it up, then return to your shadow as it goes up. This way, you will get access to the lower floor where Fariba is at and where you can find the next crescent moon symbol.
Next, move towards the room to the right and make your way to through the spike traps to reach the flooded room.
Go down to the flooded room and head towards the west wall. Grab on to the rung to make the water level go down.
Then, make your way to the east wall, grabbing the Xerxes coin along the way, and pull down on the next rung to make the water level go all the way down.
Break up the debris blocking the wall cover to release the Moon Gatherer and be rewarded with 200 crystals.
Moon Gatherer Location #3
Once you have access to the Sunken Harbor, make your way to the southeast area where you will find the next crescent moon symbol and the Moon Gatherer on top of a mast. You will need to defeat the giant crab and the smaller crab enemies first, then call the Moon Gatherer down and you will be rewarded with 200 crystals.
Moon Gatherer Location #4
Travel to the city area of the Pit of the Eternal Sands and go to the spot just above the room where the second major seal is at. You will find the Moon Gatherer stuck in a jar; break the jar and you will be rewarded with 200 crystals.
Moon Gatherer Location #5
Make your way to the Tower of Silence and go to the area of the falling rocks. In the middle near the bottom edge of the area is where you will find a coffin carrier; defeat this enemy to release the Moon Gatherer. You will be rewarded with an Additional Healing Potion and you will complete the entire side quest.
