With just weeks to go before its official release, Capcom has unveiled a brand-new launch trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, offering fans an intense look at the game’s ever-changing world and the fearsome monsters. The highly anticipated Monster Hunter installment from Capcom is set to launch on February 28, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
A Glimpse into the Forbidden Lands
The launch trailer showcases the treacherous Forbidden Lands, home to powerful apex predators. Among them is Jin Dahaad, a massive, territorial beast dominating the icy terrain of the Iceshard Cliffs. Also featured is a mysterious new Rathalos—one that differs from any King of the Skies hunters have encountered before, hinting at unique challenges ahead.
Post-Launch Content and Free Updates
Following its release, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive ongoing post-launch content, including free Title Updates. The first major update is slated for Spring 2025. This will mark the return of Mizutsune, the elegant Leviathan known for its mesmerizing, bubble-based attacks that immobilize its prey.
Before then, starting just one week after launch, players can dive into special Event Quests featuring limited-time rewards, including exclusive armor sets. Capcom has promised further details on these quests and other upcoming content soon.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Platform Support
Monster Hunter Wilds will be available with PS5 Pro Enhanced support, delivering optimized performance. Players who pre-order will receive the Guild Knight Set layered armor and Hope Charm Talisman as a special bonus.
