After a long period of silence since launch, Supermarket Simulator has finally added a promised and much-requested feature to the game: Multiplayer. Named the Co-op Update, the newly added feature allows you and up to four friends to collectively share in the responsibility of running your own store.
Players can stock shelves, serve customers, fulfill orders, manage deliveries, and expand the supermarket all in real time. Players can do everything doable in a single player session, from driving vehicles, mopping floors, setting prices, and, what we can assume, driving away thieves.
Addition Fixes
- Fixed various freezes and crashes.
- Fixed an issue where some products did not render properly when placed on shelves.
- Fixed NPC rendering issues.
- Fixed various display color variations.
How to Create Multiplayer Session in Supermarket Simulator
After updating the game, the option to start a Multiplayer session will be visible on the main menu. You are then asked to create a Trader Tag (which will be seen on top of your player model), followed by selecting your preferred Server Region. A Room Code will automatically be generated at the bottom center of the menu. To start a multiplayer session, click on the CREATE button.
Important: Do take note of the alphanumeric code. As of Patch V1.1.1(146), there is no way to view your room code once you are in the session. Have it written down somewhere, if need be.
After creating the session, you are then asked to choose a save slot for your Multiplayer game. It takes up one of the three save slots that also contain your single-player games. Once you have created the save file, you will be loaded into a new instance of the game, but with Multiplayer.
How to Join Multiplayer in Supermarket Simulator
In the same menu of the Multiplayer startup, there is a JOIN ROOM button next to the CREATE ROOM button. Click on it and you will be asked to enter an 8-character alphanumeric code for that specific room. Once you have entered the code, you should be able to join the same session alongside the host.
