Crimson Desert has hit a major milestone right out of the gate, selling over 2 million copies worldwide on its first day.
Pearl Abyss shared the news through the game’s official social channels, thanking players for the strong launch and ongoing support.
Alongside its sales performance, Crimson Desert also saw a strong start on Steam, peaking at around 240,000 concurrent players on launch day.
That combination of high player activity and sales numbers makes this one of the biggest launches for a Korean-developed game to date.

Interestingly, the 2 million units sold sets a new record for first-day sales by a Korean-developed title, highlighting just how much anticipation there was leading up to release.
Pearl Abyss also noted that the team is closely monitoring player feedback and plans to continue improving the experience moving forward.
Crimson Desert is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
