Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and Square Enix have announced that Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, 2026, with a physical edition set to launch across Southeast Asia.
The announcement comes as Final Fantasy X celebrates its 25th anniversary, giving longtime fans and newcomers another opportunity to experience two of the franchise’s most beloved RPGs on Nintendo’s latest console.
Originally released for the PlayStation 2, Final Fantasy X follows Tidus and Yuna on an emotional journey through the world of Spira, while Final Fantasy X-2 continues Yuna’s story with a more action-oriented adventure set two years after the events of the original game.
The HD Remaster includes enhanced visuals, remastered music, updated character models, and gameplay improvements introduced in previous releases, bringing both titles to modern platforms while preserving the classic experience.
Bandai Namco and Square Enix have also released a new trailer to accompany the announcement, showcasing the Nintendo Switch 2 version ahead of its launch next month.
