Game company Ubisoft has recently announced a new time-limited PvP event for online multiplayer shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Containment.
What is Rainbow Six Siege Containment Event?
The Containment event gives fans a preview of Extraction in R6 Siege, where a team of REACT agents will intervene to destroy Nests and will face a team of Proteans, a deadly Archean variant that can adopt the form of REACT operators. They can mimic their behavior but it will be limited to melee attacks and at maximum speed. They will have additional health, Aruni’s Punch, and Oryx’s special abilities, but no weapons allowed for them. The REACT agents will have the standard loadout without the modifiers and only have access to a reduced Operators selection.
What is Nest Destruction Game Mode?
The event will add a new game mode to the game called Nest Destruction that will have players fight over a Nest. The REACT operators have two objectives in this game mode, which are to destroy the nest to open the final objective and then win the round. The Proteans can only defend with melee attacks and Oryx’s Ramah Dash in order to stop the invaders. Removing one side from the equation is always the best solution to win a round.
Which Operators are Involved?
The Containment event will have its own collection of 33 unique items for the operators like IQ, Ace, Blackbeard, Amaru, and Zero on the attacking side. The defenders have the Aruni, Jager, Kaid, Mira and Warden.
Where to Get Unique Items?
The unique items include headgear, uniforms, and weapon skins. There are time-limited customization items that will be available for purchase as Bundles in the Shop section for only 1680 R6 credits or via the Containment Packs for 300 R6 Credits or 12500 Renown.
Rainbow Six Siege Containment Event Schedules
The new event, containment will start tomorrow, August 3, 2021 and will run for three weeks, which will end by August 24, 2021. This new event, Extraction, is inspired by the upcoming game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction. It sets players in a reworked version of the Consulate map, which in this setting already ravaged by the Chimera Parasite. This will introduce a new game mode called Nest Destruction. The main game will also be free to play starting August 13 until August 15, 2021, where players can earn twice as many bonus Battle Pass points.
Rainbow Six Siege is now playable on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
