CD Projekt RED has recently made changes to the Cyberpunk 2077 updates roadmap and this time most of the content releases are now for next year.
The updates roadmap has now been changed for the third time, which means the upcoming releases for this controversial game are now coming to 2022. The patches that got released before 2021 appear, which are hotfix 1.04-1.06. In between 2021 to 2022 are the patches that got released recently from patch 1.1 to the latest 1.31. And unfortunately, it all stops there, which means the last patch that has been released this year will be 1.31 last September 2021.
This means no new content will be coming to the game until 2022. After that black-hole of no content though, 2022 will have new updates, improvements, and free DLCs. Yes, there will be free DLCs to look forward to. Also, it is now marked that the free next-gen console update will be next year.
After a disastrous and buggy launch and post-launch, it seems CDPR is not taking any chances anymore. They will be going back to the drawing board and make sure upcoming patches and new content will be less buggy when launched, hopefully.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is also backwards compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Native next-gen version upgrades are coming next year.
