Dredge Books are key items that provide different types of bonuses when completely read. These bonuses range from getting more fishes in fishing spots to even making boat motors move much faster.
Read ahead as we go through all of the available books in Dredge and share how to obtain them and what bonuses they provide.
How to get the book bonuses in Dredge?
To get the bonuses given by the Dredge books, you will need to access your Boat menu and then go to the Cabin tab. You’ll then get to see your bookshelf with all the books that you have obtained. Books highlighted in white are the ones that you have not read yet, books in yellow are currently being read; and books in green have been fully read.
Next, select the book that you want to read, and then spend some time doing other stuff. You will make progress on the book in the background as long as it has been selected. You can only read one book at a time, so make sure to check your bookshelf often to make sure that you have selected one. A notification will be shown once a book has been completed, and only then will you get the bonuses from the book.
There are 12 Dredge books in total. We’ve provided a list below that details each of the book’s bonuses and how to get them:
Sustainable Fishing
- How to Get – Complete the Package Delivery pursuit from the Mayor in Greater Marrow. The book is given by the Dockworker in Little Marrow.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book gives a 10% chance to not reduce fish stocks when catching a fish with a rod.
Rods, Reels and Rigs
- How to Get – Complete the Caught to Order pursuit from the Fishmonger in Great Marrow. The quest can be triggered after talking to The Collector for the first time.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book makes rods reel fish in 10% more effectively.
Correct Engine Operation
- How to Get – Talk to the Shipwright in Greater Marrow.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book makes engines provide 5% more movement speed than listed.
The Engineer’s Companion
- How to Get – Complete the A Place to Rest pursuit from the Builder in Greater Marrow. Get the book from Steel Point once the Builder has settled in.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book makes equipment types that use durability lose durability 10% slower.
The Relaxed Mind
- How to Get – Talk to the Trader in Little Marrow at least two times on separate days to get the book.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book gives a 10% resilience to panic.

- How to Get – Start the Crave Courier pursuit from the Courier in the boat in I10 and you will be given with the book along with the package to be delivered.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book gives a 15% resilience to panic.

- How to Get – Talk to the Traveling Merchant in Gale Cliffs and Stellar Basin to receive the book.
- Dredge Book Bonus – This book gives 10% increased sell prices and 10% reduced buy prices.
