All Rideable Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How to Ride a Pokémon

Players can ride Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus!

Just like in the previous games, there are also rideable Pokémon that you can use to explore Hisui in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. These are special Pokémon that you can summon that let you travel faster through land, sea, and sky. Some of them even have special skills that can help you do other stuff.

In this guide, we’ll talk about how you can obtain these Pokémon and how you can ride them .

How to Ride a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

To ride a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you have to summon a mount by using the Celestica Flute. As you progress in Hisui, you will get this useful item.

Play the Celestica Flute, summon and ride a Pokémon following the steps below:

    • You must first befriend the special rideable Pokémon.
    • Once befriended, their icon will appear in the lower right of your screen.
    • Select your mount with the D-Pad’s left and right buttons.
    • After selecting the icon, press + to use the Celestica flute and summon the desired Pokémon.
    • On Arceus Legends, you do not need to have the Pokémon you want to ride. The Celestica flute will summon it regardless of your team’s Pokémon.

How to get the Rideable Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

All the rideable Pokémon are actually considered as part of the nobles that are ruling their own regions in Hisui in that they also have their own wardens. You can acquire them just by going through the story and completing the main quests. This means, you don’t have to catch and train your own Wyrdeer or Basculegion to ride, you can simply summon these nobles by playing your Celestica Flute.

Though they can be summoned whenever you are in an open area, they only count as Pokémon sightings in your Pokédex. They cannot be used to fight in battles and you will still have to capture these Pokémon or get them from evolving their pre-evolutions for their research levels to count.

List of All Rideable Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

All of the Pokémon available for you to ride in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are listed below:

    Wyrdeer
    Wyrdeer

    Wyrdeer

    • After defeating the rampaging Kricketune in Deertrack Heights (Heights Camp) in Obsidian Fieldlands, Wyrdeer will appear. You’ll learn the Celestica Flute song to summon Wyrdeer.
    • Press the + button on the controller to summon and ride on Wyrdeer.
    • Press the B button to dash and Y button to jump.
    • Press the A button to pick up items on the ground.
    Ursaluna

    Ursaluna

    • Defeat Ursaluna in Ursa’s Ring in Crimson Mirelands. You’ll learn the Celestica Flute song to summon Ursaluna.
    • To switch mounts, press the left or right d-pad keys. Press on the + button to summon the mount.
    • Ursaluna has a special skill which helps locate buried items or find missing people. A green scanning wave will show in front of its face upon riding Ursaluna. The wave will turn red if Ursaluna is facing a nearby item or an objective. Ursaluna dashes faster towards the area, and upon reaching the exact spot, press Y to dig up the buried item.
    Basculegion
    Basculegion

    Basculegion

    • Find Iscan at the Aipom Hill in Cobalt Coastlands. He’ll make a request for you to catch a Dusclops and use its Shadow Ball attack to cook the Basculegion food. Then, head towards Ginkgo Landing to meet Basculegion. Once you feed it, you’ll learn the song to summon Basculegion.
    • To ride Basculegion, go in a body of water and press the A button. Your character can still drown if it stands on deep water for too long, so press the A button as soon as it shows.
    • You may also ride any of the mounts on land and directly move into a body of water as your mount will automatically switch to Basculegion. This also works on moving from water to land.
    • Basculegion can jump by pressing the Y button and dash by pressing the B button.
    Sneasler

    Sneasler

    • After battling Ingo in the Clamberclaw Cliffs, he’ll teach you how to summon Sneasler.
    • To ride Sneasler, select it as a mount first and then press the + button. You may also summon Sneasler by approaching a climbable surface and then pressing the A button once it prompts. This works while both on foot or on a different mount.
    • Sneasler can climb on climbable surfaces like the sides of a mountain or trees by approaching them and pressing the Y button. You may also just walk towards a climbable object and Sneasler will automatically climb it.
    • To jump off, press the B button. If Sneasler is on top of something that has a climbable surface, a prompt to descend (Y button) will show up.
    Braviary
    Braviary

    Braviary

    • After solving the Snowpoint Temple puzzles and battling with Sabi, you’ll then enter with a battle against Braviary. Defeating Braviary will allow you to learn the song to summon it.
    • Braviary can be summoned by selecting it from the mounts and then pressing the + button. You’ll then be launched to a certain height and Braviary will remain flapping in the same spot. To reach higher altitudes, consider summoning Braviary from a high place.
    • Press the B button to dash, and press the Y button to dive. When gliding forward or when dashing, Braviary’s flight pattern has a very shallow slope so you’re also slowly losing altitude. Diving down also has a slope and Braviary does not dive perpendicularly downwards, so consider starting a dive a few distance away from where you want to land.
    • Switching to other mounts while in the air will cause you and the current mount to fall down. Pressing the A button during a freefall will summon Braviary once again which breaks your fall.
    • Braviary has the fastest travel speed, which is great for covering more land or for looking for objectives, like wisps.
