Playing as Operators in Modern Warfare 2 won’t give you any special advantage. They do have their own special look and voice lines that make them stand out from the usual grunts operating in the battlefield. So you’ll stand out by using these Operators when you play against other players.
In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you’ll get a few bonus Operators if you purchase the Vault Edition of the game. This edition unlocks Captain Price, Soap, Farah, and Ghost who are all a part of Red Team 141 operator pack. Purchasing the base game or the cross-gen bundle will not get your these Operators on the go.
Even with Microsoft’s acquisition of Blizzard Activision, it seems that PlayStation owners do get a free exclusive Operator.
