This guide for the Missing Jamal Lost & Found quest in Dead Island 2 will show you how to complete each step of this side mission. There are a lot of people missing in the zombie outbreak which you’ll be asked to find, dead or alive, much like poor Jamal here.

Read on as we show you the steps for how to complete the Missing Jamal Lost & Found quest for Dead Island 2.

    Missing Jamal Quest Location

You can start the Missing Jamal Lost & Found quest by picking up the poster on the wall in Lotusville Mall in Ocean Avenue.

How to Complete the Missing Jamal Lost & Found Quest

The Missing Jamal Lost & Found Quest takes place in Halperin Hotel. To get there, simply fast travel to the location, and then head into the objective (marked with red in your map) to find the clues to Jamal’s whereabouts.

Step 1 - Dead Island 2: Missing Jamal Lost & Found Quest

The quest is pretty straightforward, and it can be easily completed by following the steps below:

Step 1: Pick Up The Notes outside Halperin Hotel

In the guard huts in front of the Halperin Hotel, there are two journals that you have to pick up; Employee Vehicle Register and Our Fellow Security Guard. Both the exterior and interior fuse boxes of each guard hut must be destroyed in order to open the door. Once you crack it open, you’ll find the clues to your next objective inside.

This is a dangerous area with zombies in it so you should head in fully prepared for combat. If you don’t want to attract more zombies, you should probably disable the alarms first.

    Step 2: Defeat Jamal

After collecting the journals, follow the quest marker which will lead you to Jamal. Unfortunately it’s already too late to save him and you have to put him down for good. You’ll have to fight the zombified remains of Jamal in a place with a lot of zombies so he has some undead friends with him. In order to finish this quest, you’ll also have to dispatch of all the zombies in the area too.

Step 2 - Dead Island 2: Missing Jamal Lost & Found Quest

Fighting Jamal isn’t hard by itself, you’ll barely even recognize that it’s Jamal due to how damage his corpse is. However he will drop something upon defeat which you should pick up. Take Jamal’s Crate Key and use it to open the his stash at the back of the red pickup truck. After defeating all of the zombies, you’re done with the Missing Jamal Lost & Found quest.

That’s how to complete the Missing Jamal Lost & Found quest for Dead Island 2. We hope this guide was informative.

Dead Island 2 is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
