With a great variety of deaths possible, you could be asking how to save the game in the Dead Space Remake. Nothing is more stressful than having to lose progress after getting so far. Here’s an explanation for how to save in the Dead Space Remake.

How to save in Dead Space Remake?

You can save your progress in the Dead Space Remake by accessing one of the many Save Stations that can be found throughout. However the game also features auto save which automatically records your progress after reaching certain checkpoints.

The first time you’ll be able to access a Save Station is just when you enter the Ishimura with the USG Kellion crew. However it’s unavailable during this early in the game. It won’t be until after you get to safety and contact Kendra and Hammond that you’ll be able to access your first Save Station.

The process of how to save in the Dead Space Remake is pretty much the same as the original. There aren’t any changes here and you’ll quickly find that the game can be generous with saving your progress to ensure none of it is lost.

Save Stations - How to save in Dead Space Remake

There are many Save Stations in the game and they’re usually placed in safe areas. So you won’t need to worry about being attacked by Necromorphs while you’re recording your progress. Once you interact with a Save Station, there are many slots to save in the Dead Space Remake.

After saving, you can record your progress any time you’d like by pausing the game and selecting the Load Game tab just below Resume. Be warned that any unsaved progress will be lost.

    Dead Space Impossible Mode Saves

    Dead Space Impossible Mode Saves

You only have one save slot in Impossible Mode in the Dead Space Remake. Auto saves are disabled so you will lose progress if you do not use a Save Station before quitting.

Dying will also prompt a full restart, although you do have the option to continue on Hard difficulty. The Impossible difficulty essentially only gives you one life for the entire playthrough by restricting your saves.
