The Destiny 2 Youtube channel recently uploaded a new Destiny 2 Lightfall trailer that shows off the environments of Neomuna, the new central location world coming in Lightfall.
A much better look at the destination itself. In fact, at 33 seconds onwards, we get various shots of the Guardian driving around Neomuna on their Sparrow. From quite a distance away, you’ll see many shots of vivid and colorful imagery. The city also has a skyline with many high-rise buildings that are perfect for the new Strand grapple ability.
We also hear the voice of the Cloud Strider Warrior for the first time and it’s safe to say that we do indeed have a common enemy with the Dark Legion. We also kind of see him in action making quick work of some Vex though the trailer only shows the aftermath of the encounter.
There are various shots of pyramid tech forcedly integrating itself into the environment. The structures dot certain areas as if giving off the impression of unexploded ordnance across a wide area.
The much-talked-about Tormentor gets some extended screen time as well. From the looks of it, the behemoth looks to be on the hunt. And when they capture a Guardian, it literally pulls the Light out of them. This gives way to more shots of Strand traversal over the city.
The closing moments of the trailer are dominated by a close-up of Callus’ statue at the head of the ship as it looks down on the doomed city below. A nice bit of foreshadowing right there.
Destiny 2 Lightfall is set to launch on February 28, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Pre-orders for the are available right now.
