Destiny 2 Season of Defiance Story

Destiny 2 Season of Defiance Activities
Destiny 2 Season of Defiance activities details have not been released yet, but we do know that this will bring new major changes to the mechanics.
One of the big changes is the removal of the Umbral Engrams and the seasonal Umbral Energy. The replacement will be singular keys that will be dropped during a variety of activities. These can be used to unlock a chest at the end of the seasonal activity.
In Season of Defiance, the vendor upgrades will be toned down making it feel less of a grind compared to before. Countdown and Countdown Rush to PvP will be coming back too with this season with the latter requiring players to detonate or defuse both bombs on the map before the round ends.
For the first time ever, Nightfalls will now include the Mars Heist Battleground. This will be its first season activity to be included in the playlist and the first non-strike Nightfall. Following Season of Defiance, this roster of activities will be expanded with more Battlegrounds to follow in future seasons.
And that is all we know about the new Destiny 2 Season of Defiance from the recent blog post made by Blackburn. Watch out for more information and updates in the upcoming new season and including what to expect from the upcoming major expansion Destiny 2 Lightfall.
