Devolver Digital has once again stepped in further to fill in the void left by E3, and all signs point that their show is going to lean towards the wacky and outrageous side. The company recently a not-so-safe-for-work teaser trailer reminiscent of 90s trailers.
In the press release, the company said, “The Return Marketing Countdown to Marketing will occupy the glorious 30 minutes before the -usually anticlimactic- big summer showcase and will be put under the spotlight to try to compensate users.” This of course is in reference to Summer Game Fest showcase, Devolver’s Direct will take place a few hours after the “larger event” airs.
At the end of the trailer, it is revealed that the Devolver Direct will be hosted by Japanese developer Goichi Suda (Suda51), of No More Heroes fame. There are up to four video game announcements to look forward to. And we are hoping for more updates for their current upcoming lineup of games.
