Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Romance Ulrika

In Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ulrika is one of the romanceable NPCs. She is the young leader of Melve who puts the well-being of her people above herself. Ulrika was also the one who nursed the Arisen back to health after their fight with the Dragon. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to romance Ulrika and make her the Beloved in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to unlock Ulrika’s Romance Quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Ulrika has a quest line that has to be followed in order to start your romance path with her, and this can be missed if not done promptly. Start by completing the Seat of Sovran quests which will make Brant mention the village of Melve, but stop before you complete the Feast of Deception quest which points you to Battahl.

Travel over to Melve where you should see Ulrika and other NPCs fight against a dragon which is the start of the Readvent of Calamity quest.

Ulrika’s romance quest line is composed of three quests:

    • Readvent of Calamity
    • Trouble on the Cape
    • Home Is Where the Hearth Is

    Readvent of Calamity

In Readvent of Calamity, you will be tasked to fight off a pustulent dragon from rampaging in Melve. Make sure to have visited Melve before and completed the Scaly Invaders quest by driving off the Saurians twice. Afterwards, revisit Melve again and the fight against the dragon will be triggered.

After the fight, regardless if you repelled or killed the dragon, Ulrika will invite you to her house, but later on, she will go missing. You will then get word from Lennart that she has gone to Harve Village. Head on to Harve Village and you should see her walking around the main roads.

    Trouble on the Cape

In Trouble on the Cape, as you arrive in Harve Village to find Ulrika, you will find out that the village is also under attack by Saurians from the NPCs Fyoran and Jonas. Head over to the Stormwind Cave which is at the south side of the village, eliminate all the Saurians there, and rescue the NPC Zoran from captivity.

After returning to the village, you will find that Fyoran and Joans will ask Ulrika to be the village chief, to which she yes. You will then be rewarded with 1,800 XP, 6,500 G, and a Ferrystone. You can then return to Lennart to complete the previous quest to be rewarded with 2,000 XP, 4,500 G, and the Ring of Grit.

Home Is Where the Hearth Is

In Home Is Where The Hearth Is, you will be sent back to revisit Melve once more. However, guards have stationed themselves at the entrance to the town and they won’t let you pass unless you bribe them. You can either give in to the bribe and pay out 5,000 G, or follow the wall they are at to the right side until you find the part of the wall low enough for you to climb.

Next, head over to Ulrika’s house where you will speak with Lennart. He will ask for your help in fighting back the soldiers, but they need weapons to arm themselves for the fight. You will then need to get them four swords of any kind, so simply gather ones that you get as loot or purchase four swords from any smithy.

After giving Lennart the swords, head outside where the fight will begin. You only need to deal damage to the guards until they fall back. Once the guards retreat, Lennart will thank you.

Your next objective is to tell Ulrika about Melve by heading back to Harve Village after around 2 days. If you have followed the order of her quests so far, Ulrika can be found at the northern dock of Harve. Talk to Ulrika and she will tell you to come back to the dock at night. Pass the time and go back to Ulrika again and you will unlock her romance cutscene.

Choosing Ulrika as the Beloved and Maxing her Affinity

Choosing Ulrika as the Beloved and Maxing her Affinity Dragon's Dogma 2: How to Romance Ulrika

Ulrika can be given gifts as early as after completing the Monster Culling quest from Brant. Doing this will raise her affinity towards you, and you will know that you have maxed out her affinity when she blushes after talking to her. The type of gifts she likes are the adorable and beautiful types.

Additionally, once Ulrika is at max affinity, you will start getting gifts from her that you can get from your house. If Ulrika has the highest affinity amongst all the NPCs that you have mingled with, she will also be considered as your Beloved, which means that the final boss dragon that you meet during the Legacy quest at the end of the story will grab her as its hostage.
