Graphics cards for your PC have become some of the hardest things to find in the middle of the pandemic. While they are expensive to locate, at least they’re not the mythical PS5 which I’m sure doesn’t even exist. People just pretend to have it for the prestige. Still, having a good graphics card can be boon for the modern games that are just releasing around the corner, such as Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
If you’re looking at this guide, then you’ve probably already stared at your PC and wondering if that 2 year old graphics card can still run this open world zombie survival game. Fear not! For you are not alone in the realm of potato PCs. Still, I recommend that you check the Dying Light 2 PC system requirements before you go ahead and purchase the game for yourself.
Dying Light 2 PC System Requirements
According to Dying Light 2 on Steam, the requirements can be quite hefty depending on how old your current hardware is. If you really want to play Dying Light 2 without the game crashing, then you may be in for some shopping.
Here are the minimum and recommended requirements of Dying Light 2 for PC:
Software/Hardware | Minimum | Recommended |
Operating System | Windows 7 or higher | Windows 10 |
Processor | Intel Core i3-9100 / AMD Ryzen 2300X | AMD / Intel CPU running at 3.6 GHz or higher: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel i5-8600K |
Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
Graphics Card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 560 (4GB VRAM) | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB or AMD RX Vega 56 8GB |
Storage Space | 60 GB Available Space | 60 GB Available Space |
Regardless if you’re playing on minimum, recommended, or if you’re like everyone else, somewhere in between you’re going to need a 64-bit processor. If that sounds like too much, then you might not be able to run Dying Light 2.
Usually when trying to tell if a game can run on your hardware, you would want something a bit above the minimum requirements. At the very least, you’ll be able to get a solid 30 FPS while running Dying Light 2 on low settings. Anything below the minimum settings might cause the game to run very poorly.
As long as you are a bit more updated than the minimum settings then you should be able to run Dying Light 2 at satisfactory performance.
Will Dying Light 2 on PC Have Mods?
One of the biggest boons in PC gaming has always been the modding community. Being able to later the experience from more than what the developers intended
Only time will tell if Dying Light 2 can be modded. Its predecessor did have more than a few mods that allowed you to use your grappling hook endlessly, made weapons invulnerable, and overhaul the visuals. So it may not be too far of a stretch to say that Dying Light 2 might come with mods after a few weeks of the game’s release on February 4, 2022.
And that is everything you should need to be able to play Dying Light 2 on PC. Thanks for reading our Dying Light 2 PC System Requirements. For more on Dying Light 2, feel free to check out our other articles.
