How To Unlock Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5

The ability to fast travel in Forza Horizon 5 is not readily available, to unlock fast travel you have to purchase a specific player house, the Buenas Vistas home.

Unlock fast travel as early as you can, as traversing from one location to another in this game can really be a grind. To unlock fast travel you have to do the following:

Horizon Adventure - Forza Horizon 5

Complete Accolades to unlock Horizon Adventure

To proceed with the story, you have to complete Accolades to be able to access Horizon Adventure. Accolades are the new point system in Forza Horizon 5.

This system is how you will keep unlocking new things to do in the game. The game will give you an Accolade goal to hit to unlock a new area. Saving accolades after the first area unlocks multiple areas or upgrades.

Unlock Horizon Street Scene for Street Racing

Once you have unlocked Horizon Adventure, open the Horizon Festival map. Use one of your unlocks to gain access to Horizon Street Scene for Street Racing.

    Complete the Guanajuato Expedition

Discover Guanajuato’s underground street scene by completing a few missions and races.

Completing this expedition will unlock a new outpost on the map. It will also unlock an achievement, and will then populate the map with a lot of new events.

But most importantly, it will unlock a new house that you need to activate the perk: Fast Travel.

Buenas Vistas - Forza Horizon 5

Accumulate 2 Million credits to buy the Buenas Vistas

The Buenas Vistas home is a player house that you can purchase for 2,000,000 credits.

You will have to grind your way up to get this house, it might take a while unless you find a way to earn money fast in Forza Horizon 5.

Once purchased, you will gain the active perk to be able to fast travel anywhere on the map.

Fast travel will cost up to 10k credits every time you do it. Unless you have a lot of money in the game, we recommend that you do not do this, especially if you have just started playing. But there is a way for you to fast travel for free.

How To Fast Travel For Free in Forza Horizon 5

Fast travel does cost you credits. Initially, they’ll set you back 10,000 credits per travel. However, you’ll be able to get discounts by running over these purple fast travel boards that you can find all over the map.

For every one Fast Travel Board smashed, it will reduce the cost of fast traveling by 200 credits.

There are a total of 50 Fast Travel Boards in Forza Horizon 5

To make fast travel free, you have to destroy all 50 of these purple travel boards. Finding them will entail traveling to different locations on the map.

You can also buy a Treasure Map for $2.99 USD (real money) to reveal all Bonus Board locations, which you can also use when searching Barn Finds.

Once you smash one into splinters, the icon will turn grey letting you know you don’t need to go back to that area.

Unlocking Fast Travel Anywhere in Forza Horizon 5

Fast travel in the game is certainly a massive time saver. You’ll be able to get to missions and places you want to be on much quicker.

We wouldn’t recommend always relying on it especially early on as they will cost you a good sum of credits that you’d best spend on upgrading your vehicles.

Speaking of spending your credits, here’s a guide on how to earn money fast in Forza Horizon 5.
