Summer Games Host Geoff Keighley promises that upcoming Gamescom 2022 Opening Night will have big announcements.
Gamescom returns this coming August 23, 2022 promising lots of new announcements for several games that fans are looking forward to. Last March 2022, Gamescom announced its big return and this would be one of first major in-person gaming events in the past two years. The ones behind the event also promised that they are aiming to be climate-friendly, which makes it a first for the show.
Many gamers have been anticipating for major announcements that are likely to appear in the upcoming event. Keighley has recently posted a video to his Twitter account that further confirms their hype and more. He talked about how excited he is for the upcoming event and revealed he will be involved the opening night.
According to Keighley, the opening night will have first looks and world premieres, and other big announcements. Interestingly enough, since Summer Games Fest had a lot of world premieres, Gamescom could have those too with Keighley involved. There could be a first look at gameplay of upcoming games like Starfield and more.
Keighley did promise that he will be bringing more information at a later date.
Gamescom will start on August 23, 2022 and will be live from Kolenmesse in Cologne, Germany.
