Fleeting Colors in Flight is the Lantern Rite rerun event for the 2.4 update in Genshin Impact.
Travelers at the Lantern Rite Festival can participate in all of the events taking place.
Travelers can earn a bounty of rewards by completing themed challenges during the festival, which welcomes new visitors to the Jade Chamber. Each theme in the event’s Fleeting Colors in Flight will have its own section in this guide, which will go into detail about the gameplay and rewards for each one.
Requirements to participate in the Fleeting Colors in Flight event:
- Reach Adventure Rank 28 or above
- Complete the Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III – “A New Star Approaches”
- Complete the Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act I – “The Crane Returns on the Wind”
The Fleeting Colors in Flight event begins on January 25th, 2022 at 10 am server time and ends on February 12th, 2022 at 3:59 am server time.
For this event, there are four themed events: Flameplume Starflowers; The Great Gathering; Wonderous Shadows and Oceanic Defender; with an additional Prosperous Partnership event.
Flameplume Starflowers
Flameplume Starflowers is a fireworks event in Genshin Impact’s Fleeting Colors in Flight event. A new gadget is included that allows you to make and launch your own fireworks.
How to Unlock the event?
To access Flameplume Starflowers, you must complete the “Blazing Stars Ring in Fortune” event quest. The Launch Tube is added to your inventory after completing this mission.
To get the best possible fireworks, they’ll have to follow a few rules. In order to get the best possible rating, the following factors must be taken into consideration:
- The Quality Rating will be improved if the fireworks meet a number of quality parameters, such as color, size, and height.
- The Quality Rating can be improved or lowered by using specific smelting techniques. Only after reaching a certain level will certain strategies be made available to Travelers.
- A firework’s firepower quality can be influenced by keeping an eye on the Launch Tube’s Firepower value.
- You will gain some endurance as soon as you begin the challenge. A certain amount of endurance is required for each smelting, depending on the technique used. Smelting can no longer proceed once the smelter’s endurance is depleted.
- Curious Efficacy can occur when smelting techniques are used, which means that the quality of the current parameter will definitely increase until it is within the ideal zone.
A smelting technique will consume a certain amount of endurance at the beginning of the production challenge. If a traveler’s endurance runs out, they will be unable to make fireworks using any other smelting methods.
How to Obtain Perfect Quality Fireworks
To get Perfect Quality, you’ll need to hit the Orange Zones while smelting fireworks and accumulate 3000 points. All Event Tasks can be completed with less than 2700 points.
Observe that the quality of each technique is random, and you may find yourself going above or below the Orange Zone at times. Fortunately, you can restart the smelting process and try again.

Rewards
Affluence Talismans, Primogems, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore are among the rewards that can be earned once the event is over. Various fireworks can also be earned. Affluence Talismans can be exchanged for a variety of items, including fireworks, Hero’s Wit, and Character Level-Up Materials.
Go to the Launch tube and select the Modification option to launch the fireworks in a public place.

The Great Gathering
At Guyun Stone Forest, Travelers will be tasked with rescuing resources from their defeated foes.
There are a number of challenges that can be unlocked as they collect materials from Ningguang’s destroyed Jade Chamber.
The Great Gathering Challenges
- Interrogation at Night – Go to the encampment of the Treasure Hoarders to collect the scattered resources.
- Curio Salvage – In order to complete the Curio Salvage mission, use the waverider in the designated areas.
- Midpoint Interception – While riding the waverider, destroy the Treasure Hoarders’ transport balloons.
- Return to Safe Harbor – Bring the suppliers back to the designated area after defeating the treasure hoarders.
- The Key Catch – Within a limited amount of time, you must eliminate all Elite enemies.
It’s possible to salvage resources after these challenges are completed. A Waverider will be available to aid Travelers in completing challenges at sea as they earn Waverider Waypoints during the event. If a Waverider ventures outside of Guyun Stone Forest’s boundaries, it will be sent back to its original spawn location.
Rewards
The Immaculate Talismans, Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Mora, and the Bountiful Year recipe can be earned by completing the challenges and unlocking the materials. These can be exchanged at the Event Shop: Afterglow Market Stage 2.
Wonderous Shadows
This is the third theme in the Fleeting Colors in Flight event, and they must first find Yuan Rong in order to begin the Wondrous Shadows. Shadow Lantern is a puzzle game in which players must adjust the angles of the lantern lights to form an image in order to solve the puzzle.
After a certain amount of time has passed, they will be given a hint that will aid them in solving the puzzle. After solving the riddle to 100%, the challenge will be over and the puzzle will be solved.
Rewards
Affluence Talismans, Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Mora are among the rewards Travelers can receive after solving the riddle. Trading these Affluence Talismans for other items in the Event Shop is an option.
Oceanic Defender
This Themed Event will unlock on January 30, 2022.
During the event, venture deep into the lair of a mysterious monster that poses a threat to Liyue’s safety. As part of the Oceanic Defender theme, players are given various tasks to complete.
Rewards
You can get Crown of Insight and Talent Level-Up Materials by exchanging Conquest Talismans at Afterglow Market Stage 3’s Event Shop.
Prosperous Partnerships
Affluence and Conquest Talismans can only be obtained by completing event-exclusive requirements. As soon as they have completed the “The Stars Inscribe the Year’s Wishes” Lantern Rite quest, they will be able to exchange Affluence and Conquest Talismans for a 4-star Liyue character.
You need 1000 Affluence Talismans and Conquest Talismans to be able to invite the character of your choice:
Ningguang Skin: Orchid’s Evening Gown
Participants who meet all three of the event requirements for Ningguang’s special “Orchid’s Evening Gown” outfit can earn it during the Fleeting Colors in Flight Event.
- Accumulate 2,400 Affluence Talismans
- Accumulate 2,200 Immaculate Talismans
- Accumulate 1,800 Conquest Talismans
After the Fleeting Colors in Flight event, the outfit will be available in the Character Outfit Shop for 1,680 Genesis Crystals.
