The Mysterious Orb is among the various favors you can find in God of War Ragnarok. This will be available to players once they’ve progressed through the main path called The Reckoning. Read on, and this guide will go over everything you need to know to complete The Mysterious Orb Favor/side quest, including some tips and solutions along the way.
How to Unlock The Mysterious Orb Favor?
Returning to Freyr’s Camp during Main Path: The Reckoning allows you to talk with the dwarf Lunda and gain access to “The Mysterious Orb” favor.
The Mysterious Orb Favor Walkthrough

- Find the orb
- Return the Orb to Lunda

- 1000 Kratos XP
- 250 Freya XP
Find the Orb
Shortly after departing Freyr’s Camp, hop on the boat and sail past the Yggdrasil Dew; while doing so, make sure to track the Favor from the map to easily navigate the river path. You’ll need to pass through River Delta and dock in the region called Cliffside Ruins.
The Cliffside Ruins Region contains another Favor called Conscience for the Dead. Speak to the ghost Gunhild to trigger the side quest.
From here, you’ll need to lower down the chains on the cliff ahead by destroying the vines that’s blocking it. To do so, Climb the wall to your right, make sure to collect the red chest to your left (near the zipline) for Lunda’s Broken Belt. Head back and leap across the pillars to an area nearest to the vines, which you can burn using Freya’s Sigil Arrows.
Now, you’ll need to link several Sigil orbs together, then set them ablaze with your Blades of Chaos. See the image below for reference.
Climb up and interact with runic lock at the end of the path. With the help of Freya, this removes the tall rocks blocking the river path through a hidden region called Godess Falls.
Get back in the boat and proceed along the river; when you get to the first fork in the path, take a left to enter a hidden area called The Veiled Passage. Once inside the cave, dock the boat to your right.
Nearby, look on the ground to the left of where you stepped off the boat to find the Mysterious Orb lying on the ground next to some supplies.
Return the Orb to Lunda
Before returning to Lunda, pick up the explosive rock on your right and throw it at the golden ores next to it. There’s a Nornir Chest on the other side for you to solve.
Lastly, return to one of the Huldra Brothers’ workshops. The nearest one you can find is at the Cliffside Ruins. Speak to Lundra once more for a short conversation and this will eventually complete The Mysterious Orb Favor.
