It has been confirmed and clarified that Gran Turismo 7 PC is not going to happen at all.
GT7 Producer Kazunori Yamauchi recently explained his previous statement in regards to having a chance of getting a PC port for the popular racing simulator game. There have been rumors from industry insiders claiming that a PC port could be happening but it seems the official source is going to clear this up once and for all.
Yamauchi made it clear that a PC version is not happening at all. He explained that this was a mistranslation of one of his interviews that said Polyphony Digital was actively researching a PC version of the game. The producer did say the possibility is not 0 but they are not currently working on releasing the latest entry on anything else but PlayStation consoles.
“There is nothing to talk about,” he said.
There is a chance but it has a very small chance of happening in the future. Currently, the team is focusing on the PlayStation version of the game and nothing else so a PC port is just a further thought in their minds right now.
Sony Interactive Entertainment is slowly branching out to the PC platforms so it could still happen but it’s not happening anytime soon. Give or take, maybe 4-5 years.
Gran Turismo 7 is now available on PS4 and PS5.
