Helldivers 2: All Premium Warbonds and Rewards

A complete guide on all Premium Warbonds and what they offer in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 Premium Warbonds

The Premium Warbond in Helldivers 2 is an exclusive version of the game’s Warbonds system that functions similarly to a battle pass. Unlike the regular, free Warbond, it grants players a range of content additions such as weapons, armor sets, player cards, emotes, boosters, and even super credits.

There are currently 5 Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2, and the fifth premium warbond Viper Commandos was just released as of June 13, 2024. As such, this guide will give you a rundown of rewards for every premium version of Warbonds in Helldivers 2 available as of date, how to unlock them, and whether it is worth the penny or not.

All Premium Warbonds and Rewards in Helldivers 2

Premium Warbonds features 3 pages of rewards, and each item requires a certain amount of Medals for it to unlock. Here are all the Helldivers 2 Premium Warbonds you can purchase so far (Updated as of June 13, 2024):

    • SA-32 Dynamo Body Armor (64 Medals)
    • SA-32 Dynamo Helmet (48 Medals)
    • You’re Next Victory pose (32 Medals)

Purchasing the Steeled Veterans Warbond in Helldivers 2 features items that offer particular advantages, including the unique SERVO-ASSISTED body armor passive, which boosts throwing range by 30% and increases limb health by 50%. Additionally, players can benefit from the JAR-5 Dominator, a meta weapon that is pretty much effective against terminids and automatons due to its armor penetration.

Aside from cosmetics, everything else is pretty normal for me and can be outclassed when compared to the other Premium Warbond rewards below, especially when engaging on higher difficulty levels.

Cutting Edge

Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Premium Warbond

Released on March 14, 2024, the Cutting Edge Warbond items include:

  • Page 1
    • Botslayer Player Card (2 Medals)
    • Localization Confusion Booster (18 Medals)
    • 100 Super Credits (7 Medals)
    • LAS-16 Sickle Energy-based Rifle (20 Medals)
    • Head tap Victory Pose (8 Medals)
    • EX-03 Prototype 3 Body Armor (18 Medals)

    • EX-16 Prototype 16 Helmet (35 Medals)
    • Martyris Rex Cape (20 Medals)
    • 100 Super Credits (12 Medals)

    • EX-00 Prototype X Body Armor (64 Medals)
    • EX-00 Prototype Helmet (48 Medals)
    • Agent of Oblivion Cape (30 Medals)

The main highlights of the Cutting Edge warbond are the weapons that greatly boost your ammo efficiency. The only downside is that most of them have less range and damage. The weapon I mainly used, and probably the best one out of this warbond would be the LAS-16 Sickle. Overall, it offers big mag capacity, fast reload, you won’t be having problems about the recoil and damage as well.

Democratic Detonation

Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond

Released on April 11, 2024, the Democratic Detonation Warbond items include:

  • Page 1
    • 100 Super Credits (7 medals)
    • Squat Victory Pose (8 Medals)
    • Harbringer of True Equality Player Card (2 Medals)
    • G-123 Thermite Grenade (15 Medals)
    • CE-27 Ground Breaker Body Armor (18 Medals)
    • CE-27 Ground Breaker Helmet (12 Medals)

    • Eagle’s Fury Player Card (5 Medals)
    • CE-07 Demolition Specialist Body Armor (45 Medals)
    • CE-07 Demolition Specialist Helmet (35 Medals)
    • Eagle’s Fury Cape (20 Medals)
    • Expert Extraction Pilot Booster (55 Medals)
    • R-36 Eruptor Explosive Weapon (60 Medals)
    • 100 Super Credits (12 medals)
    • Courtly Bow Victory Pose (15 Medals)
  • Page 3
    • Boxer Victory Pose (32 Medals)
    • Freedom’s Tapestry Player Card (16 Medals)
    • GP-31 Grenade Pistol (60 Medals)
    • FS-55 Devastator Body Armor (64 Medals)
    • FS-55 Devastator Helmet (48 Medals)
    • Freedom’s Tapestry Cape (30 Medals)
    • 100 Super Credits (32 medals)
    • CB-9 Exploding Crossbow (80 Medals)

For those who enjoy things that go Kaboom (careful not to blow yourself up), the Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond gives pretty much explosive firearms like the Exploding Crossbow and Grenade Pistol. However, this might not be appropriate to players that prefer stealth or precision shooting. Though I don’t think these weapons will have much of an impact on Terminids, they should be useful against the Automatons’ thicker armor.

Sadly, the armor sets doesn’t have any special passive perks. Besides the electrical conduit armor exclusive to Cutting Edge, all armor sets in this Warbond feature passives found on other armor sets in existing Warbonds.

Polar Patriots

Released on May 9, 2024, the Polar Patriots Warbond items include:

  • Page 1
    • 100 Super Credits (7 Medals)
    • AR-61 Tenderizer Assault Rifle (20 Medals)
    • SMG-72 Pummeler SMG (15 Medals)
    • CW-36 Winter Warrior Body Armor (18 Medals)
    • CW-36 Winter Warrior Helmet (12 Medals)
    • Motivational Shocks Booster (8 Medals)
    • Dissident’s Nightmare Cape (8 Medals)
    • Dissident’s Nightmare Banner (2 Medals)
  • Page 2
    • 100 Super Credits (12 Medals)
    • P-113 Verdict Pistol (20 Medals)
    • PLAS-101 Purifier Plasma Rifle (25 Medals)
    • CW-4 Arctic Ranger Body Armor (45 Medals)
    • CW-4 Arctic Ranger Helmet (35 Medals)
    • G-13 Incendiary Impact Grenade (15 Medals)
    • Pinions of Everlasting Glory Cape (8 Medals)
    • Pinions of Everlasting Glory Banner (2 Medals)
  • Page 3
    • 100 Super Credits (32 Medals)
    • MGX-42 Blizzard Light Machine Gun (80 Medals)
    • Permafrost Grenade (64 Medals)
    • Snow Blind Booster (48 Medals)
    • Salute Emote (32 Medals)
    • Flex Emote (16 Medals)
    • Thumbs Up Emote (16 Medals)
    • Order of the Venerated Ballot Cape (8 Medals)
    • Order of the Venerated Ballot Banner (2 Medals)

The Polar Patriots Warbond stands out with its distinct arctic theme, providing players with armor sets, weapon skins, and cosmetic items that fit this aesthetic. The Warbond includes a mix of weapons suitable for various playstyles and scenarios. The MGX-42 Blizzard LMG offers excellent suppressive fire, while the SMG-72 Pummeler cater to players who prefer SMGs. The Permafrost grenade introduces a unique tactical element, allowing you to freeze enemies and create openings for attacks. The Snow Blind booster enhances survivability in cold environments, which could be beneficial in specific missions or regions.

However, many players find the Tenderizer underpowered compared to other assault rifles in the game. It deals less damage and has a slower fire rate, making it less effective in combat. Some players feel it doesn’t offer a compelling reason to use it over the default AR-23. And the PLAS-101 Purifier’s slow charge-up time and limited ammo capacity make it difficult to use effectively in fast-paced combat scenarios.

Viper Commandos

Released on June 13, 2024, the Viper Commandos Warbond items include:

  • Page 1
    • 100 Super Credits (7 Medals)
    • AR-23A Liberator Carbine Assault Rifle (20 Medals)
    • PH-9 Predator Armor (18 Medals)
    • PH-9 Predator Helmet (12 Medals)
    • Experimental Infusion Booster (8 Medals)
    • Woodland Camo Hellpod Skin (8 Medals)
    • Woodland Camo Exosuit Skin (8 Medals)
    • Viper Commandos Banner (2 Medals)
  • Page 2
    • 100 Super Credits (12 Medals)
    • SG-22 Bushwhacker Shotgun (60 Medals)
    • PH-202 Twigsnapper Armor (45 Medals)
    • PH-202 Twigsnapper Helmet (35 Medals)
    • Jungle Rat Cape (20 Medals)
    • Tigerstripe Camo Hellpod Skin (15 Medals)
    • Tigerstripe Camo Exosuit Skin (15 Medals)
    • Viper Commandos Player Card (5 Medals)
  • Page 3
    • 100 Super Credits (32 Medals)
    • K2 Throwing Knife (80 Medals)
    • Close Combat Training Booster (64 Medals)
    • Tigerstripe Camo Pelican Skin (48 Medals)
    • Thumbs Down Emote (32 Medals)
    • Taunt Emote (16 Medals)
    • Cheer Emote (16 Medals)
    • Viper’s Kiss Cape (8 Medals)
    • Viper’s Kiss Banner (2 Medals)

The Viper Commandos Warbond has been met with overall positive reception from the community so far. My favorite is the new side-arm, the SG-22 Bushwhacker, a new shotgun that has two firing modes, single shot and triple burst. Although the Bushwhacker is designed to penetrate light armor, it excels in close-quarters combat, delivering massive damage at short range.

The introduction of the throwing knife in the Viper Commandos Warbond for Helldivers 2 has also sparked considerable curiosity among players. Aside from it being the first melee weapon introduced in the game, it can instantly kill with a headshot and deals significant damage with body shots for unarmored enemies.

The K2 Throwing Knife in Helldivers 2 is a reusable weapon. It has three charges, and each throw consumes one charge. You can retrieve the knife from the ground after throwing it to regain a charge. If you don’t retrieve the throwing knife in Helldivers 2 after throwing it, the charge for that throw will not be replenished.

It’s important to note that the knife doesn’t disappear if you don’t pick it up immediately. It will remain on the ground where it landed. However, some players have reported experiencing bugs where the knife doesn’t get replenished even after retrieval.

How to unlock the Premium Warbond in Helldivers 2?

To access the Premium Warbond it requires 1,000 Super Credits to unlock. In Helldivers, you can get Super Credits either by playing the game through looting and completing specific objectives, or by purchasing it from the Store:

  • 1000 Super Credits: $9.99 (includes a bonus of 250 Super Credits)
  • 2100 Super Credits: $19.99 (includes a bonus of 600 Super Credits)
  • 7000 Super Credits: $49.99 (includes a bonus of 2100 Super Credits)

Is the Premium Warbond Worth it in Helldivers 2?

For dedicated Helldivers 2 players who spend a lot of time in the game and want to keep up with the all the meta weapons, the Premium Warbond could be considered a worthwhile investment. However, for casual players or those who prefer not to grind for in-game currency, having access to premium content isn’t really necessary. The base game already offers a rich experience, and the standard Warbond provides plenty of progression.

As such, the Premium Warbond content keeps getting better with each release, so if you’re the type that wants to maximize your Helldivers 2 experience and either don’t mind the grind or the expense, the Premium Warbond is well worth it. For everyone else, it might be a nice-to-have rather than a must-have.

Additionally, purchasing the Warbond directly supports the developers, enabling them to continue creating new content and updates for the game. For players who are invested in the long-term future of Helldivers 2, buying the Warbond is a way to contribute to the game’s ongoing development and ensure a steady stream of fresh content.

Do Premium Warbonds Expire?

No, premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2 do not expire. Once you purchase a Warbond, you have unlimited time to unlock all its items at your own pace. This is a deliberate design choice by the developers to avoid the fear of missing out (FOMO) often associated with battle pass systems in other games. However, do note that a premium Warbond does not grant access to future premium Warbonds. Each Warbond is a separate purchase, encouraging players to stay engaged and continuously invest in the game’s evolving content.

Stay tuned as we will constantly update this article as soon as a new premium warbond becomes available in Helldivers 2.
