A Friend in Deed is one of the side quests that players can complete in Hogwarts Legacy. Sirona Ryan is worried about her friend Dorothy Sprottle and needs some help in checking up with her condition.

How to unlock A Friend in Deed Side Quest
To unlock the A Friend in Deed side quest, you must first complete The Helm of Urtkot main quest.
A Friend in Deed Objectives
- Talk to Sirona Ryan in the Three Broomsticks
- Speak to Dorothy Sprottle in Upper Hogsfield
- Find and enter the cavern
- Collect Sirona’s Letters x5 & Collect Sirona’s letter box
- Return the box of letters to Sirona
A Friend in Deed side quest Walkthrough
After completing the required quest, head over to the Three Broomsticks where Sirona Ryan will be available to talk to.
Talk to Sirona Ryan in The Three Broomsticks
Look for Sirona in The Three broomsticks. She will ask for your help in checking up with Dorothy Sprottle in her behalf.
Speak to Dorothy Sprottle in Upper Hogsfield
Look for Dorothy in Upper Hogsfield; she should be outside tending to her garden in daytime. She will ask for your help finding the crate of Horklumps that Aidan has left behind inside a cavern.
Find and enter the cavern
Follow the quest marker to the West of Upper Hogsfield to find the cavern entrance.
Collect Horklumps, Collect Sirona’s Letters & Collect Sirona’s letter box
If you have at least 10 Horklumps in your inventory prior to this objective, then they would count towards the objective. Otherwise, you can collect more Horklumps inside the cavern. You will also need to look for Sirona’s Letter and her letterbox somewhere inside the cavern.
Head down into the cavern where you’ll find some chambers that have loot like gear and Galleons. You should end up at a boarded path to the left; destroy the boards to proceed. Continue following the path until you arrive at an ogre’s lair. Defeat the ogre, then carry on through the gate. Cross the plank bridge and the next cavern corridor you’ll be at will have all the letters scattered on the ground as well as the letter box.
You can then explore the cavern some more or head out the exit.
Return the box of letters to Sirona
Go back to The Three Broomsticks and hand over the letters to Sirona to complete the quest.
A Friend in Deed Rewards
After completing the quest, you will be rewarded with the following:
- Conjuration Spellcraft
- 180 XP
